QuickTIp: IRC Chat, a great resource... There are lots of ways to chat these days, but one of the old standbys is still a great way to hook up with people who share a common interest. In the case of Haiku operating system, the #haiku chatroom has a large group of users in it, many of them active developers, so it's a very helpful place to get questions answered.

A quick way to get there without downloading and setting up a fancy IRC chat client is to open a web browser and go to this page:

http://webchat.freenode.net

There, give yourself a nickname, type in #haiku as the "channel" you want to join, do the little number verification thing, and hit Connect. Maybe we'll see you there!

By the way, this web-based chatroom approach also works when using the WebPositive browser in Haiku.
