TuneTracker QuickTip
Using Big Hard Drives
Under the current version of Haiku®, drives larger than 60 gigabytes must be broken into more than one partition, so that no partition is greater than 60 gigabytes in size. Therefore, it's necessary for you to partition larger drives down into 60 gig or smaller chunks.
The instructions below are not exhaustive, but are intended to serve as a guide. Follow them entirely at your own risk:
1. Run Drive Setup from the Haiku® "apps" folder
2. Right-click on the large drive you wish to partition
3. Select "setup / partition / intel"
4. In the requester that comes up, set up the partitions according to the partition sizes you desire
5. After partitioning, you will be returned to Drive Setup
6. Right-click to initialize each partition using BFS (Be File System)
