Right-Click Ripping

Here's another handy tip for our TunePrepper music preparation software owners. You don't need to even open TunePrepper in order to use it to prepare and rip audio for broadcast use.

There are two quick steps to get yourself ready for this exciting method of ripping.

1. The left and right arrow buttons let you flip through pages and pages of MyShow buttons, all configured exactly as you want them.
2. Copy the TunePrepper program to the following location:
   
   /boot/home/config/add-ons/Tracker/

4. Run TunePrepper an initial time and set up your preferences the way you want them to be. Click the "Save" button, and TunePrepper will save your choices as the defaults it will use.

Once those two things are done, you can now select a group of files from the desktop, right-click on them, and use your left mouse button to choose TunePrepper from the "Add-ons" menu that appears. A progress bar will pop up immediately as TunePrepper works in the background, normalizing, removing silence, and encoding your cut(s) to the format of your choice. It's the lightning-fast way to use TunePrepper anytime. Just grab the files you want, right-click on them, and go!

Note that the tip above is going to be even easier from now on, since all purchasers of TunePrepper after May 1st, 2004 will receive an installation that includes copying the file to Add-ons automatically.
