TuneTracker QuickTip
Leaving and Checking Private Messages in BeShare
Get these all the time! Write to us and we'll add you to our weekly e-mail tiplist.
If you aren't currently logged into the TuneTracker chatroom, we hope you will do so using the BeShare program we've described in previous e-mails. If you need a refresher on how to get logged-in, visit https://www.tunetrackersystems.com/tips/TuneTrackersNewChatroom.html for details.
Once you're logged in, we strongly suggest you leave it connected TFN. It will cause you no trouble, and by staying connected you not only provide an encouragement to others, but it is quicker and easier for you to get access to help when you need it.
Since people come and go in the TuneTracker chatroom, it's possible you might miss someone you wanted to chat with. To leave a message, use the example below, substituting "Fred" for the username of the person to whom you wish to leave a message. Just type your message into the text box at the bottom of the screen and hit Enter, using the resident robot, "Deejay" to leave the message for Fred, as follows:
Deejay message for Fred Hiya - What's the best way to generate program logs for a whole week, at once?
As you can see, you just tell our robot named "Deejay" to leave a message for Fred, then type your message. Simple. If you don't want others to see your message to Fred when you send it, add "/msg" at the front, like this:
/msg Deejay message for Fred Hiya - What's the best way to generate program logs for a whole week, at once?
Checking for YOUR Messages
It's advisable to check to see if anyone has left you a message, each time you look in the chat window. To do so, just ask Deejay to give you your messages, as follows:
Deejay messages
Deejay will display any messages that have been left for you. They will be sent privately, unseen by other users.
